- Bucket Drives
- Sale of Lucky Envelopes
- And other fund raising events
The funds raised go strictly for the purchasing of Occupational and Recreational Equipment to enhance the environment and to attempt
to make the patients stay more comfortable, whilst interned in one of the Illawarrals Public Hospitals, Psychiatric Units.
From donated wool, Teresa, Julie and Rhonda crochet blankets for the patients use as well as to keep.
Complete satisfaction is achieved when M.I.D.D.A.S. members make delivery in person. Big smiles and the occasional hug are received from patients. These are worth more than a
"MILLION DOLLARS" to M.I.D.D.A.S. members.
The President and Publicity Officer both visit ELOURA EAST at Shellharbour Public Hospital once per month to socialise and interact with the patients and do enjoy afternoon tea with them.
The Patients have and enjoy a cooking afternoon on each Friday; this may include cakes, pancakes and scones etc.
M.I.D.D.A.S. members purchase ALL the ingredients out of their own pockets which in turn are donated for this purpose and pleasure.
M.I.D.D-A.S. members are happy to make Necklaces and Bracelets for the female patients and Keyrings for the Male patients of which materials are purchased from the pockets of each
These are then handed out as Christmas presents to the patients.
M.I.D.D.A.S. also has FREE information pamphlets, booklets etc on different aspects of MENTAL HEALTH.
